Ideas become things
I have ideas about the Baby Shower… and I’m super excited about it! I’ve already designed the invitations… I just need specifics. Can’t wait to print them out and start mailing them.
Still trying to figure out the details about the baby shower venue I know we’re cutting it close but I’m waiting on whether or not the same venue for the Gender Reveal will be available for the Baby Shower. Everyone loved it there. We’ll just have more guests and set up more chairs and tables.
So anyhoo… other than that, I have been trying my hardest to control my blood sugar. I have been looking up recipes for low-carb meals so that I don’t get tired of eating the same things. But lately, it has been very hard to control the blood sugar. I think part of it is that my pregnancy hormones are also becoming more and more insane. Last time I went to see Dr. Moore, she looked at my glucose logs and did see the fluctuations between fasting levels, after meal levels, and night time levels. So she is once again recommending me to visit Magella and get a consult about my gestational Diabetes. In the meantime, she has told me to take 5mg of Glyburide, which I will be starting tonight. I tried taking 3.75mg for the past 5 days but it’s really not making a difference.
In the meantime, I bought a Hamilton Beach 10-cup food processor on Amazon. I’ve always wanted one so I can make some stuff I see on fitness blogs and Solenn Heussaff’s website lol. Anyways, I plan on using this when I make Baby Similar’s solid food. But this weekend, I ended up making some Protein Energy Balls… it’s a combination of Solenn’s and someone else’s recipe. They are very addicting… but I do recommend eating them in moderation.
Also, I have been trying my hardest to go to the gym on my lunch breaks. I do a little bit of cardio (meaning I walk on the treadmill for like 10 mins) then do light weights. I also make sure I get in some squats =) I really want to be stronger in time for when I have to push baby Similar out. Also, so that it’s easier for me to get back in shape once I have him. Here’s a recent Bumpie at 25 weeks =)
